Part 5 of Episode 3 - Free Speech Edition
Christoph (老雷) and Angel (唐安竹) discuss how “Free Speech” may potentially affect kindest and compassion in a population. They talk about whether “Free Speech” is a contributing factor that betters or worsens the spirit of various countries, especially the USA, China or EU/Germany.
Angel provides her experience in America and her optimism for the American people. She shares her stories of traveling around USA and meeting White Supremacists and Confederate Flag bearers and her discovery that these were the first people to help her and her family despite being foreigners at the time.
Meanwhile, Christoph talks about other aspects of American life such as “stand your ground” laws and also discusses his experience in America noting that Americans can afford to be nice and compassionate. However, when Christoph was in China, he felt like as a foreigner, the Chinese people can confide in him since he is a foreigner.
